Step 10
DMS Push Back

iTapMenu is pleased to allow you to push any changes you may have made to the deal in your presentation back to your DMS. This may include any products you may have sold or any changes to terms or pricing in general.  Please follow these simple steps to set it up and utilize this feature. If this feature is not turned on for your dealership, please contact us ASAP so we can activate it for you. ​
You must set up the "mapping" for all your products. This way, when you hit a simple button, your information will go where you usually put it correctly. 
  1. CONFIGURATION  __  Go to Configuration on the lower left side. If you do not see a Configuration option, don't hesitate to get in touch with us so we can activate that access for you. 
  2. PRODUCTS  __  Go to Products using the light blue buttons.
  3. EDIT  __ You will then see all of your products in your store. As in the previous steps, a little pencil will appear to the right of each product. Clicking on it will take you inside the product's configuration. 
  4. DMS PRODUCTS  __ Immediately above the Description, you will see a drop-down called DMS Product. When clicking it, you will see all your products, where they are currently programmed in your DMS and the associated line or area where you usually manually enter them. 
  5. MATCH DMS  __  Find the matching line or area in which you wish for that particular product to be pushed back into the DMS from iTapMenu going forward.  *** Do not worry if you sometimes change it up for certain products and place them in different locations depending on a certain situation. You can always override this when doing the actual push step. 
  6. SAVE  __  Be sure to click SAVE in the upper right corner after each time you set up a product. 
You are now ready to perform the actual procedure. 
  1. Once you generate your contracts and confirm they are good to go. Click on the DMS PUSH tab in the light blue tabs. 
  2. You will then see the products you sold with all the information about them, as well as all the deal information below. If you sold a VSC, the system will ask you a few items pertaining to the VSC coverage. Just fill out this information and confirm all the other info about your deal on the entire screen. 
  3. To the right of each product you sell, you will see a drop-down menu called DMS Value. Here, as I mentioned previously, you can change the location to which that product will be pushed back. 
  4. Once you are confident in the information, just hit the PUSH button in yellow in the upper right corner.
