Step 08
Contracting
After the customer has signed off on the menu and the products they wish to purchase, it’s crucial to click SAVE. This action ensures the data is securely stored and automatically allows the system to navigate you to the Documents tab. From here, you can issue, print, or download contracts and any necessary disclosures.
SIGNED DISCLOSURE __ Even if you did not sell any products, you can print the Signed Disclosure. This will have the base information, the new payment information, and all accepted and declined products. It will also have the disclosure information and the customer signature you captured a moment ago. You can also now print from the left side a Recap. This will have a full breakdown of the deal for your deal jacket if you wish. You can also add reserve here if you wish to have this recap accurate.
CONTRACTS __ Upon reaching this stage, you’ll notice an area labeled Contracts. This is where all your product contracts will be stored. Initially, you’ll see empty boxes with hyphens and the product name below. This indicates that the product has been sold and the contract is pending. To the upper right of this area, you will see a GENERATE button. Click it to begin the process. A drawer will open, and all of the info about the customer, the bank, the product, the financing, etc., will be here and open to be adjusted or entered if needed. Once you are confident in all the info, click the GENERATE button in the lower right corner. PROCESSING __ The system will pop up Processing. This tells you that iTap is now sending all the info about the customer and products to the provider. Within a few seconds, the pop-up will disappear, and you will see actual contracts where the pending ones were. You can now hover your mouse over them and view them more significantly to confirm their accuracy, void them to reverse the contract, or download them to your computer to send to the customer. You can always click DOWNLOAD ALL in the upper right corner to print or download all contracts and pages in one sweep. |
*** You may occasionally see an error when contracting. If you do, the error will usually tell you what the error is and what is needed to generate it. Simply fix that error and generate it. If you still run into an error, contact support, and they will help you ASAP.
